My dream! Want to live in a beach town! Need 500$ month! Niche site blog

Hey guys,

my name is Thomas and im going to create a niche website. I have read ?Bluematters? thread and other blogs about this topic. Anyways I am still a greenhorn. I hope you guys could help me out.
The reason why im going to do is money :. Im working as a volunteer in a third world country and im loving it. I don?t want to go back to my home country after the project. My project ends in 6 months so I hope I will be independent after this time. I will need over 500$ a month to stay here. Please help me out and help me to live my dream.
I will update this blog with other stuff too (girls, party pics and and and) .

I found two keyword with 8100 searches per month and a cpc of 3,93$.

Don?t want to tell the keyword but I need your help so I will give an example in order that you can tell me if its worth it.

Lets assume the keywords are ?prepaid phone?. (actually it is sth similar).

So none of the top 10 pages in google have ?prepaid phone ? in their domain.
Page numer 1,2 and 4 make a comparison between the different prepaid phones rates. But none of these websites are specialist in it. They also make other comparisons.
Page numer 3 , 5, 6, 7, 9 are call companies that give informations about their rates.
Pge number 10 offers a commercial finances prepaid phone.

Page number 9 is a specialist wiki website. Lets say prepaid - wiki. com

So would you recommend it?

What beach are you planning to live on with $500 a month? Blackpool?

im in a third world country. The average salary is not even 100$.

So 500 $ would be great to have a descent livestyle here. I know sounds funny but it is like that.

Goa -India you can live pretty much decent for $500/month

Last time I went, Blackpool looked like a third world country.

I was only joking, I know $500 a month can be a serious income in some parts of the world. However I always wonder why people from third world countries aim low, when the internet enables them to make as much as anyone around the world. You should set your sights at something like $4000 a month, an easily achievable amount of money, if you take your work seriously.

Thank you. I appreciate ur words. 500$ would be amazing for me. For 4000$ a month you would have everything here. Im a greenhorn and i found this website a couple days ago. So 500$ at the beginning would be great and i could help my family too. I will put all my strength into it the next months and if i should earn 500 (what would be amazingggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg) i would definetly go for more if possible .

And i will do everything like u guys will tell me to do.

The other Keyword is something comparable to ?marriage certificate?. (Of course sth different, but you might get an idea).

So after reading your comments and other replies of users in another topic i will create both sites, since most people suggested it .

I don't know why, maybe the weather outside, but I want to chip in. I think it's really nice for you to have the beach for a dream and not the money. There's nothing in the world I'd like more than walk in flip flops all day, but I think I'll never let go of busy cities...

If you want to go the AdSense route, you will obviously need an account, these don't come that easy so get one of those first. Afterwords or if you already have one, here's some pointers from my personal experience (any single site I own range from $200 - $1500 / day, from AdSense):

- forget about MNS, this is 2014. Google Sniper is BS, just look up [george brown scammer]. People might still make some money with MNS today, but certainly this isn't a very efficient IM technique.

- EMD have no value, don't judge competition based on keyword in domain.

- you can outrank wikipedia BH but will someday flop, sooner than later, don't touch that keyword or don't set your expectations high.

- the first step is not CPC, you first need to pick a niche, broader than just a keyword and then start researching and writing articles based on valuable terms.

- the way ads are served these days, if you search for "car rentals" and some time later visit your favorite online florist, you will still see car ads. Build authority websites, attract broader audience focused on some topic (niche), use long tails for sustainable traffic, don't rely solely on kw planner, that's somewhat accurate for advertisers but if you publish content use it as broad guide lines.

That's just from the top of my head, hope it helps and maybe send me a postcard someday.

Which linking technique would you recommend? Do you mean that if i found a keyword and i see that the number one rank in google is a wiki site for this keyword than i should search better for alternatives?

Ok. lets say i found the kewords : "marriage certificate" with low competition. Do i understand your post correctly that you would recomment me to go for a broader niche, lets say "certificates", if the competition is low aswell? So that the next step would be to write different articles about all kinds of certificates under the category "certificates" of the broader niche site?

About the wiki rankings, don't ditch it, just don't use it as main "dream fulfiller". Let's say you have "red widgets" that has wikipedia on the #1 spot. Write the article, you'll, maybe, get some traffic from lower positions, but also research "best red widgets", "cheapest red widgets", "how to red widgets", etc. Us your imagination and kw planner for this. You will see that several xxx search volume keywords with high rankings are easier to pursuit and will more than likely get more traffic than a bigger volume term with low (/no) rankings.
Also try to at least plan ahead for an authority site, don't get redwidgets dot com, instead go for something like widgetadvices dot com, widgetsexpert, etc. This way, after you finish the whole spectrum of long tails about "red widgets" you can do blue, green and so on.

after reading a lot of your and other comments i decided to build an authority website. Right now im trying to get an idea about link building.
Lets say my authority website is about marriages. Lets say marriages ( . c o m) . ( I cant write urls since im still new to this forum).

So the authority website would have url categories like

• w w w.marriages( . c o m) / certificates
  
• w w w.marriages( . c o m) / holidays
  
• w w w.marriages( . c o m) / dress

and so on. So i would need to target the 3 different niches with link building in this category.

My question is do I have to target each of the 3 different sub urls through link building or just through the authority domain marriage( . c o m) ?

Lets say I create for each keyword of the category :



(marriages certificates / marriages holidays / marriages dress)


15 web2.0 blogs. So 45 web2.0 blogs in total. Every blog would have one link to my website. Would each blog need to have the exact link of the category like:

• w w w.marriages( . c o m) / certificates (for each of the 15 blogs i would use it 1 time)
  
• w w w.marriages( . c o m) / holidays (for each of the 15 blogs i would use it 1 time)
• w w w.marriages( . c o m) / dress (for each of the 15 blogs i would use it 1 time)
  

Or just 45 links to marriages( . c o m) ?
