My domain is PR4 and I did NOTHING.

Hey Guys,

I registered a domain about 3 weeks ago and did not check the PR (I assumed it was 0) and now it's a PR4. If the PR was brought forward from the previous owner is there a way I could see this ? I'm a little confused also since I don't see any backlinks for the domain. BTW the domain is expl01t dot com ...

Any Ideas ?

PageRank isn't about quantity of backlinks only, one of reason your url got PR4 is the low obl you have, only one external link and it's nofollow

Well, it seems cool, sometimes google gives you page rank on unique heavy traffic, some times on unique content or maybe there are a number of domains that are redirecting to your websites.

I hadn't even thought of that. It seems it's a new domain or it was very low traffic in which case it wouldn't have been PR4. Anyways seems I made it to PR4 without doing anything.

Must be the spambots that I have, one of them is probably promoting a high PR website, I guess I'll let the spamming going for a few more weeks and start putting content on it afterwards.

You PR may have had 4 at the update from one or two links previously and since the PR toolbar only shows PR from the last update then that is what the toolbar will reflect. Right now you could have true PR of 1, one of the reasons why the toolbar is nothing more than a "toolbar".
