Hey BHW fam,

I’m diving into the world of crypto investing, and I’ve decided to document my journey here to keep myself accountable, learn from you pros, and maybe inspire others. I’m starting with $7K, which I managed to grow from an initial $2K investment in Solana (SOL).

I recently took profits from Solana and went all-in on Celestia (TIA). Right now, my entire spot portfolio is sitting at $7.3k in TIA. Thankfully, I’m profitable so far, but I know the road ahead is going to be unpredictable.

My Plan:
  • Trade and invest in various crypto projects, focusing mainly on gaming coins and innovative projects that have real use cases.
  • Set realistic targets to track my progress:
    • $10k
    • $20k
    • $50k
    • $100k
I’m very much a beginner, so I’m open to any advice on how to reach my goals.

Questions for experts
  1. How do you find solid crypto projects early (before they pump)?
  2. Any specific tools, strategies, or metrics I should be using to identify gaming/metaverse coins with potential?
  3. How do you manage risk when holding large positions in single coins like I’m currently doing with TIA?
I’ll be updating this thread daily (or when something big happens) with my wins, losses, and lessons learned. I’m here to soak up knowledge, so feel free to critique or point me in the right direction.

Let’s see if I can turn this $7k into $100k by the end of 2025. Appreciate any help you guys can offer!

Current Portfolio: $7,300 (All in TIA)
Next Target: $10,000

Let’s get it!

I will be glad to follow your journey, it's a feasible goal in a bull-run year, good luck

Good luck, following

Good luck, with the current bull sentiment it should be achievable.

1. How do you find solid crypto projects early (before they pump)?
Prioritize projects from bullish narratives (DeFi, Depin, AI, RWA, Ordinals, Gaming, etc, etc)
Use some research tools that I will mention below to identify opportunities and promising projects

2. Any specific tools, strategies, or metrics I should be using to identify gaming/metaverse coins with potential?
Use research tools like Dropstab or CryptoRank to filter them by investors, funding raise, listing date, etc. I don't believe metaverse is so bullish for this bull-run, but you can filter by category or subniche as well.

3. How do you manage risk when holding large positions in single coins like I’m currently doing with TIA?
I strongly recommend you to diversify your portfolio. For now you are 100% dependent on TIA, it's a good coin, but you'll need to wait for their narrative season until it finally pumps hard and you can see a 5-10X. If you diversify your portfolio with other coins from other narratives, you will split your risks and you can have some coins pumping earlier.

Following this. A good idea would be to get im with a community launching coins themselves so you can invest before it blasts

This is what I do, and when I see a fit, I simply buy, buy, buy....

1. Crypto projects that has a real world usecase.
2. A solid roadmap of the project on what to expect in next 6 months to a year
3. Aligning with the trends Ex: Gaming/AI
4. Market Capital 10M to 200M
5. Analyzing Project Investors/Partners and their activeness in Social Media / Marketing.

Thanks for the advice! I’ll check out Dropstab and CryptoRank and start diversifying my portfolio. Do you know any good communities (Telegram, Discord, etc.) where people share insights on promising projects? Appreciate the help!
