My competitor is gaming with my site

First I would like to introduce myself in this forum as I am new. The most appropriate name that I found for this forum was ?brat?, thought I actually am not. My name is Jessy.

One of my clients has a website, an online business; you can say good ROI until few back when his competitors started gamin with his site.

I have recently noticed some nasty back links to his site and also some malicious posts over the blogs etc. They have been successful in pulling his site 4 positions down and have been successful in placing their site at top position with my top most keyword.

He has some clues and hired a private eye to confirm this. He is in process of taking up legal actions. And he wants 2 things from us -

1. How can he protect his site from further such issues?
2. How can he replace his site back on the top position after removing the other site?

Please advice.

Pay them to host a big file (like you wouldn't find a hosting or something..)
Pay a lot, so they do it, and then report them to an admin, that they're hosting some shit..

Sounds childish, but they might take the risk for some money..

Do you mean that I should host some page/site on their hosting server with real shit content and links. Will this affect their site and all other sited hosted on that server?

SO I CREATE A PAGE AND HOST IT ON THE SERVER OF MY COMPETITIOR SAY XYZSERVERSERVICE.COM

But I'm not sure as many other sites should have been hosted on that server, will all be affected?

You need to just get more high quality links now to your page, and sooner or later you will be back where you where.
Also this is a white hat site correct?

If so then contact google and give them as many of the bad links as you can find and say that this was not done by you and must have been your competitor.

And try to continue to build links to this page in the future as well, then this can't happen to you again if they decide to do it again.
You need constantly links to your site if you want it to be strong, so that this kind of attacks would not have any effect on it.

Also those methods that been discussed can and most probably will get you problems from the law.

F.ex. DDos is illegal.

And child porn is just tabu and should not be supported and spread more than it is just because you want to hurt the competitors.

to suggest DDOS on a public forum is stupidity beyond belief. DDOS is considered a major crime & you do go to jail. people who police these crimes do monitor forums like this.

no one can beat you when you have a scalable link building system, end of story. concentrate your mind on winning solutions, not on how not to lose. Think like a winner.

It the nature of the beast, when you are successful on the net people will try to cut you down, via fraud, ddos, link spamming, etc. Stand your ground, and man up, you have the high moral ground.

This story looks a bit embellished.

1. You hire a private eye to see if your spouse is cheating or someone is running a insurance scam, they do not do SEO.

2. You "client" is you and you will not be taking legal action. How can you really sue someone for outranking you in SERPS?

Now to the useful info you where searching for: Search the forum for the keyword "Backlinks" I think there is a thread called "all about backlinks" or something close to that.
It will teach you what you need to know to get some good solid link juice.

I8nstead of wasting your time looking for ways to trying knock tour competitor outs of the serps ( Which is difficult if not impossible) Spend your time and energy improving your site to gain top position.

Besides. being number one in the search results doesn't necessarily mean you get more traffic.

leave prstorm and xrumer running for a long time and im pretty sure theyl b banned from google pretty quick
