So I was doing commenting manually and now all my comments have been marked "detected as spam". What triggers it? Is it because I use the same url/domain in the comments? Is it because some people marked couple of my comments as spam and then all my comments got marked as spam as a result? How can I avoid this happening?

First, links from Disqus do not count when it concerns Google, so you're wasting your time.
Second, you have been manually flagged as a spammer by the site owners, and you cant do much about it, apart from creating a new account.

Then again, good comments are not marked as spam, even if they contain a link. :)

I'm doing the meathead1234 method and not for google. Sounds kind of weird that ALL the sites marked my comment as "detected as spam". It seems more like some algorithm. The comments were made in a timespan of 1 hour or so and on different sites, like 17 different.

Its a centralized system, if certain number of webmasters mark your comments as spam, they all go down the drain.
    Whats the meathead1234 method?

It is good to see you working a method and doing it manually.

You probably want to mix up the url, change a lot of the content and use different user names as well. The more varied you are the less of a foot print you leave and the less chance of you being nailed.

I bet if you do that you'll be more successful with disqus or really any other time you are commenting for traffic.

Thanks, I found out it was my url. It has been marked as spam and even when commenting from new account with that url it gets automatically marked as spam.

    1. Change the url you use
    2. Change the account
    3. Don't post the same text, mix it up a little.

I have also had posts marked as spam. None of the posts were spam. On of the posts was a long diatribe on computer security that gave malwarebytes . org as a method of protection while mentioning that a person is wasting their time expecting antivirus like Kapersky, Norton, and McAfee as worse than useless. The post also mentioned dumping any Adobe product, Java, and turning off javascript or using noscript to help protect against drive-by's. This post was from a clean IP address.

I also had several posts marked as spam because the IP I pulled from my ISP had been used for spam.

These tell us a few things, Disqus uses IP blacklisting, and their heuristics suck. Not much you can do about it.
