Buy more ram
Sort of, but it depends. It could also happen for a website that has for example too many svgs. Having more ram won’t necessarily decrease the loading time here. In general, better hardware you have (not only ram, but the processor, hard disk etc too), better it is.

Chromium inside. Any other points?
Ok, use Netscape or Internet Explorer. That's are not based on chromium :)
Edit: That a browser use open source code that not mean that are identical to other browser based also on chromium.

How did you uninstall/reinstall Chrome exactly? Did you delete the browsing data too? If not, delete cache now and see if it makes any difference. It should, if you don't delete it from time to time. Another thing what you can do - if your Chrome runs on a HDD and not an SSD - is defragmentation. That will also speed things up.

If your Chrome doesn't hang anymore, there are still a few things you can do to speed browsing up significantly:
Change to Cloudflare DNS. (1.1.1.1)
I see, Google killed the Data Saver addon on desktop, which did the same thing, what Lite mode does on Android. Lack of a better alternative, there's an addon called Save-Data: on, try this.
There's an addon called Web Boost, which also works, i used this before.
You can use an adblocker too such as uBlock Origin.

Is the same Ubuntu and Fedora? No, both of them use Unix? Yes.
Is the same Windows 7 and Windows 10? No, both of them use part of the same code? Yes.

Use The Great Suspender extension. It might improve a bit.

Post a screenshot of your task manager (windows) or activity manager (mac)

I don't know how people are diagnosing this without seeing the full picture
