Well, it's been around 4 hours with this problem.

Basically my browsers (FF,Opera, Chrome, IE) won't load certain websites which I used to visit frequently. And its not just the websites, but my chat client (pidgin, digsby, msn, yahoo, icq) won't connect too.

    Ping would just time out.
Google loads but it's results won't open up :|

    Now am pissed off!!!

    any help would be appricated

PS no it's not a virus.

Turn off your "hide my IP" or delete cache with this command in your command prompt.

    RunDll32.exe InetCpl.cpl,ClearMyTracksByProcess 4351

If that doesn't work throw your computer out the f'n window.

what kind of firewall do you use?
because i had the same problem, i used the newest eset smart security but when i found out the reason, i immediately uninstall it and install only the nod32 antivirus (don't have to uninstall it, jus simply disable the firewall and let the antivirus run, you can see the pages load again)
