Hoping someone has had this problem. I am beginner-intermediate with VB.net and I just got decaptcher to work in my bot. However, it seems to be sending the wrong image for some reason. I think it has to do with cookies.

I am downloading a registration page, using RegEx to get a recaptcha link, then requesting that recaptcha link which is a simple text page with another string I extract with Regex to finally get my image link to send to Decaptcher, and submitting the POST request with their response.

Can someone please help me?? I doubt I am going to find my answer on google without some serious searching. Most programmers don't deal with decaptcher so they won't be able to help me :(

First are you using a browser for your bot, meaning are you getting the captcha image from the html source code from the browser.

Second are you solving Recaptcha captchas.

Hey thanks for the quick response. Hopefully you know...

    I am using httpwebrequest/httpwebresponse.

And yeah, the page I am trying to make a bot for uses Recaptcha.

I found the answer to my question. A mod can delete this thread if they want to :)

No point in deleting the thread, as people do read these when they get stuck.

I have found that if you view the image initially(on a page), it'll display. But then if you try to view the same image again, it'll be a generic picture.

So, the goal is to "download" the image before anything else does, and then send that one off to your decaptcher service.

Using a downloadstring("pageurl") would be simple, you then simply regex the image url. then download it to the client pc, and send it off.
