Wow I'm surprised! Three weeks ago it was still no where in serp, then two weeks ago it was on around 270, now I just checked and it ranks #48. This is so motivating, I hope it's a positive sign and I hope I can be on top ten. :D

What I have done for this blog so far is onpage SEO, directory submission, some web 2.0 backlinks creation, and a scrapebox blast :baby09:

And oh.. it's a one-word keyword! One friggin' word keyword. lol
    Good luck everybody. Cheers! :)

It might rank 48 out of millions but if you're not making money off of it then it's worthless.

I.E. - is it bringing home the bacon yet?

What kind of competition is there for the KY? Beating 48 trillion sites doesn't mean much if the competition is low...

Competition for a keyword is not based on your number out of the total results but what is he 'exact' monthly search and page rank, age, on page seo and backlinks of competiing top 10 sites because thats your main goal is to beat out as many if not all of the top 10

Congrats, but sorry to be the party pooper but ranking mid page 5 is probably literally 100 times easier than ranking top 10. Most of my keywords hit page 2 - 10 simply as I upload an article on my PR2 site

Yes I agree with you. I know to move up from page 5 is the most difficult part, maybe it takes months or maybe years :D. But it's still doable. :)

I didn't see estimate cpc column in my google keyword tools :(

It's basically a product offered by a company.

I'm not here to hurt your feelings but, those rankings aren't good at all...

If your not in pos 1-3 on page 1 your not being seen at all. Just a fact sorry. :/

btw: 10mil pages is considered low-medium comp.

I second that. No matter if it is on the top page. And OP, single words mostly do not convert well.

    Anyway congratz..:)

No problem, I appreciate any replies or feedbacks here. And I do know that only very less people go to page 3 when searching for keyword or something.

As I said above, this is my SEO learning process, so whatever the result now, it's so motivating me. Before this, I didn't really care about onpage SEO. :)

that could get a little iffy if the product is trademarked, which is probably is.

I just lost a domain within the past 2 weeks after I got a C&D email from Gerber. When that happens all the work youve done on the domain is lost. Not worth it to even start.

Do you mean something like this:

there's a "blabla coffee machine" company, so I created a blog which is "blablacoffeemachineblog[dot]tld" then that company will ask to take down my domain?

I'm not a lawyer, but my understanding is that if you use their trademark (aka brand) in your domain and profit from it, they can shut you down. That's what they did to me.

Fortunately, no it is not like that. Some of those which is in Google top position used the brand in their domain names. And it's been years I think :D

it also has to do with what brand it is. Gerber apparently is known for pulling that shit. Most companies don't want to waste the time or money hiring lawyers to chase small sites down.

I'd say you're in the clear unless you start ranking above the brand in google and they notice :p
