Hi, I have just removed the popup,
can you please tell me how to target other keywords and how to rank them, and what keywords should I target for a blog of my niche,
I follow blogs like hongkiat.com, designmodo.com, specyboy.com etc,
Write the outline of your article. Look for the main theme of the article, then do keyword research to determine traffic in searches.
After you identify the traffic keywords, write the article trying to target those keywords. If you are smart you will use the keyword and synonyms for it in the article as naturally as possible.
To pull keywords into an article, there are a few simple guidelines.
Your targeting will be tighter if your keyword is in the article title, in the description (even though that will not be shown on the page), in a paragraph, in the proper heading tags and in the summary.
In the opening paragraph, mention the main keywords you want to include on the page.
In the following paragraphs,use an H2 tag for each section about a keyword (or related keywords). As you write, if there is a way to use the h3 tag, do it.
EXAMPLE:
Your page is about stocks, bonds, and treasury notes. (no clue of any of this crap exists, just go with it, I know jack about this subject)
You should have used an h1 tag for the main heading of the page so the rest would go something like this.
<h1>All about stocks, Bonds, and treasury notes</h1>
<h2>Understanding Stock in general<h2>
Stocks are a way for an individual to invest in companies to share in their profit. Something real clever about stocks that would mesmerize your reader would follow.
<h3> Common Stock<h3>
Common stock is, well I have no real idea but if yo were writing this article you should. The information wil be something you have researched. You would write as many paragraphs about common stock under this heading.
<h3> Preferred Stock</h3>
Ditto
<h2> Bonds and how they work<h2>
<h3>
<h4>
<h5> (wow you are really rocking now)
<h2>Treasury notes>
And so on.
You get the idea by now, but if there were 4 kinds of treasury notes, you would write a paragraph about each one, using h3 tags, since this information is "beneath" this h2 tag.
Then you write a summary paragraph that summarizes the essential information in the h2 tags, again bringing in your keywords.
When you write try to phrase match your writing when possible.
For instance. these two phrases, SEO wise. target the term "Common Stock" the first in exact match, and the second on phrase match:
"
Common Stock is the normal stock that people think of when they buy stock in a company"
"The most
common form of investment when people buy
stock is..."
Notice that even though the two words are not beside each other, the keyword phrase "common stock" is still there in that order.
Keep in mind also that when you write a perfect article, ALL the text displayed on the page is considered content.
If you have tag cloud, related posts, extra menus, or anything in your global areas, it will dilute the article you have written by injecting extra words into the page when it is displayed.
When possible, using the plural will also target the singular.
