My Bing PPC Journey (First Journey!)

Hey are you using Bing's 1st page bid estimates to set your bids?

Hey mate can you post the conversation between u and bing support?
If u think it would be any problem for u, u can PM me..
Thanks

devbrah, any luck with getting the b!ing account back to active status?
what are the customer reps telling you?
I also am doing the same thing as you, got some coupons. I haven't submitted all yet.
so I am worried.

Really nice journey, I've always wanted to try PPC but have heard horror stories and honestly it can be a little pricey if things don't turn out well.

Would you mind letting us know who you purchased the coupons from?

Thanks and good luck!

That account was disabled permanently, and Bing support wouldn't give me a reason.

I think it's a combination of me using too many coupons, but I also had recently big on some branded keywords for my affiliate product - which was a bad idea lol.

I have another account up and running, and am slowly working on rebuilding my keywords up - so far no sales there yet.

As for the coupon source - I use BHW member bing2525.

Stay tuned for more updates!

why is it thread turning into a promotional stunt for bing2525 ?

Not intended, people are asking where I get the vouchers and he's provided me with reliable ones.

Good luck with your journey, OP! By the way, shouldn't this go in the journeys sub-forum?

QUICK UPDATE

Hey everyone, it's been a while since i've made an update.

Just know that I haven't given up, and i'm still taking action on a daily basis.

Unfortunately, after the banning of my first account, I haven't quite been able to make it back to where I was.

This month (since October 1st), I have had a total of:

2,153 clicks
$349.94 in ad spend
$100 in sales

As you can see, i'm not having the greatest ROI quite yet! lol

The product is a little bit seasonal, an example is that back in the summer I had made around $1,300 in one month from a video review on YouTube, so i'm still confident that I can make PPC a viable method of bringing in sales.

It is a competitive niche, and I was wondering if there are any PPC gurus watching this thread that could give me any guidance?

I am currently working with 4 ad groups, each with around 600 keywords, one ad group is bringing in about 70% of the clicks/ad spend.

I have also cut out a few big spend keywords that were bringing in lots of clicks, but no sales.

That's it for now, thanks for the support everyone!

Great job on jumping into PPC! I used to do a lot of PPC back in the day but stopped so I'm not sure how relevant everything I'm about to post still is today.

It seems like you may have too many keywords in your adgroups. I would go with 1 keyword per adgroup for a total of 600 adgroups so that the under performing keywords don't drag down the CTR for the good ones. This very easy if you combine a specially formatted Excel spreadsheet and the Bing Ads Editor.

Using tracking (like Prosper202) is a must, so it is good that you started doing that. The sooner you can find the money keywords, the better. The reality is that from your 600 keywords, probably less than 30 will actually make money. The rest are just adding to your PPC bill or dragging down your CTR.

I know everyone wants the quick road to money but if you are spending money, it really pays to build a list. Perfect example, last night I had particularly interesting sale on an ebook I wrote recently. The thing about it was that the sale came 10 days after the person signed up for my list. In those 10 days, they had received an email from me every day with useful information on the topic they were interested in, plus a promo of my ebook with varying levels of aggressiveness. Sometimes it was just a note in the P.S. line of the email, sometimes the entire email was about the ebook. The point is, the sale would not have happened if I was relying on the first exposure to my ebook as the only way to make the transaction. Beyond that, unless you are promoting some one-off ailment cure, you can probably find related products that would interest the people on your list. You can then promo those products without any extra acquisition costs! And if you do a good job of giving good info and not making your list feel like you just want their money, your conversion rates will be pretty high.

Just some thoughts.

I forgot to mention that I put both the phrase and exact match versions of the keyword in the adgroup. Not sure if that is still relevant today.

Is the $350 in coupon spend? Or real money?

Are you direct linking? If so, try split testing 2-3 LP's. Another thing to consider is day part.

By the way, spending $350 on 2400 keywords is not enough data to properly optimize IMO. I suggest using a smaller keyword group than that.

So what happened to user bing2525? seems like he was banned.
I cannot get a hold of him anymore.
devbrah hows it going ?
I actually managed to break even but only on coupon prices.. there is no why I can break even on bingads regular ad pricing using clickbank.
5 adgroups,
B!ng actually put my account on hold due to their strict no exit popups, sensational wording (help cure fatty liver), etc. I fixed it. so far so good.

Well just to update this thread.
my Bing account was disabled after my last coupon.
It seems there is no point in getting Bing coupons anymore.
I tried creating another Bingads account a few weeks later. different CC, etc. I wanted to try to use the $50 startup coupon first - banned right away.
I am now trying another PPC services - bidvertiser - they seem to be cheaper than bingads - but quality of clicks are yet to be seen - can anyone recommend others?

You have to be cleaver. First buy ip change software. Then use 1 coupon at a time and give it time to burn fully. Then if possible add new one. Also you have to use firefox portable for each account. Delete every time and create new account with new installation.

Buy bing courses from bestblackhatforum's marketplace. Those will work

Just my opinion, I've found organic to convert better than PPC but hey, could be different from your experience.
