Less then a week ago I setup two autoblogs which are pulling content from various RSS feed sources using FeedWordpress.

I've been checking constantly the amount of indexed pages in Google on both of my blogs. It goes up and down, up and dow, up and down... starting from 100 pages to over 200 and then going down and up again to 200.. it's doing this continuously. How's that explained?

Also, I pull content from Google news via rss, and I see my blog gets easily in to top positions for some good long tail search keywords for those recent news, but also it goes down just as easily and gets buried under other sites publishing same kind of content. Too bad, because I only manage to get only few visits for those long tail kw's before my site starts to climb down.. how to STAY on top?

This is indeed a weird game.. :)

blogs get indexed differently than regular sites. after a while the search spiders will have everything indexed and okay

With an autoblog especially you can expect a lot of fluctuation... Your site is probably experiencing the big range as a result of duplicate or partial duplicat content. Depending on how similar your blog is to other sites probably accounts for this variation.

yea well, you can have both auto and unique, some auto blogs rank better than white blogs believe it or not........
