I decided to share more information about what I currently do to earn money online and I hope that you can give me some hints what I could improve.

As I said in my earlier posts, I have a real business with real goods and this business has a homepage. I created two Twitter-Accounts for my company and one to experiment having a fake name, fake destination, fake biography and fake picture. I'm using Hummingbird II to automatically follow those who type in words being suitable for my business. So far so good, I got some useful visitors looking at(not buying unfortunately) my website as well as some people from Russia and Microsoft itself. I programmed an auto-tweet application on my computer to choose a random advertising message for my company's products and to send it to twitter every half an hour. I mix it up with some value-giving tweets.

These descriptions apply to my business profiles. Regarding the experimentation profile, I created some sentences which could be of value for some readers then ended each one with an URL from RevTwt. Well, I started all this roughly one month ago. I am just looking at my RevTwt-account and it is still at 0.10€. I think, you get that if you sign up to RevTwt, so no income at all.

I have been using a YouTube profile for a long time just to comment and upload some private videos or whatever - but I kept on disguising my identity by distorting my voice and not showing my face. So I added RevTwt-links as well, I even wrote, that people should click on the ads being shown after clicking the RevTwt-Link if they want to thank me for my videos.

But even there hardly any visitors, and those who visit don't click.

Having read that, which changes do you recommend?

Why the hell are you screwing around with twitter?

You've got a webpage that is hopefully optimized for the keywords of your products. Where do you stand in the SERPs? If you aren't #1, then get cracking. How much do you spend on adwords to drive traffic to your site?

I thought twitter was used to help drive people to your site so you dont have to waste your hard earned money on adwords.

Neoblah is right. Increase the quality of your posts, if not they won't catch anyone's attention, biks.

    Okay, what else?

Bike said it right, first thing I though is why bother with Twitter, you need to find blogs on your topic and comment on them and find forums on your same topic, find ******** blogs with PR to increase your own site ranking

You are right in so far, that the previous twitter traffic was actually not useful, did not lead to a sale. But I think, that Google ad words are not the way to go. What I need is a suitable affiliate system, meaning that other people are promoting my products - I am currently writing a new post about it.

One month is not a convincing number, so why do you think that twitter traffic is bad?

My first thought would be: how to do target a particular buying audience on twitter?

You said he had a physical product website. What sort of compelling story could you convey on twitter about a PRODUCT? Breast implants maybe, but I get impression we're talking about a generic doo-hickey here.

I could see twitter working great with some sort of Google trend site...but what exactly are you selling? What ARE you SERPs for your product keyword?

If you have a unique product, try some PPC marketing such as Google Adwords

How good are your copywriting skills? No matter how many visitors you get if you don't have that aspect down, nothing will convert.

How can I be sure that google adwords would help when I don't even know why those who visited my page did not buy?

A lot of ips refer to bots. But some refer to real people. I've had more visitors since Twitter than before. And my page is being found in the search engines.

It's mostly been said... Twitter is certainly ONE spoke of the wheel in getting traffic, but only that. Use it, but expand your efforts into other forms of marketing, PPC is a possibility as mentioned above, but it can be expensive. I use video a lot (see sig), but even then getting a constant assortment of links is a STRONG part of the that wheel.
