Hi Guys I need help!

I got more than 100.000 people using my android app and I need advice how to earn money.

My app is in the Android Market

After reading: HOW TO: Make Your Own Mobile Apps For The Android Market

on businessinsider I was able to make that app very fast. Unfortunately I named my app wrong in the beginning and had low quality icons so it was not performing very well at the beginning. But later I changed the name and made very good description&icon and just after 3 days my app started to generate hundreds of installs.

Now my app is being used daily by 10000 people!!! Can someone suggest how could I earn money with this app?

    Tino

Have a free version and a paid version, I only know about apple apps but can you set up advertising on the app? have a mobile CPA offer integrated into your app (related of course). You would need to tell us what your app does if you want more ideas.

I also think that this is a best choice, have the free version limited in features and the paid version full (obviously). You may also offer paid updates or contents.

Is there anywhere you could link to a product (yours or someone elses as affiliate)? Would the nature of your app relate to a business for click-to-call features?

Better reads the TOS for Android apps , if you so much as send people to anywhere but the app it self they will nuke it , if it is free it stays free , my advice is to upgrade to V2 model make it better and sell that , it should work that way

Create another app, stick ads on the free version, have a paid version with no ads.

Update something on your current app, but stick a splash screen advertising your new app. You'll get traffic to your new app from people who are updating your other app.

Collect email adresses for your application, later on you can always advertise to them via emails. ;)

First of all if your app has 100k+ downloads doesn't mean 100k+ people find it useful, or still use it. And even if they do keep your app, it might be only because you haven't monetized it yet. Once you do it, you're on the commercial side.

Just think about how would this be. I invent the pliers. And I create v.2 of the pliers, on that thick handles I replace them with Rubber-OLED handles to display commercials on-usage. Who the hell would find my pliers now useful?

I have Nokia N8-00 personally I fuckin hate it's app store. I found no (and literally) no type of Solitarie (the good ol' crappy solitaire) to run smoothly and without ads. Every now and again, if the game doesn't crash it tries to connect to the Internet to update the banner. I'm in the middle of my solitaire game and I get a wireless connect popup window.

But then again, I had Fruit ***** Trial game. I bought the whole game because I thought it was cool (and it really was worth buying).

    Take care.

I don't think what he claims is for real. I think he is indirectly tryin to promote the ebook " After reading: HOW TO: Make Your Own Mobile Apps For The Android Market "

Anyone who reads this thread will be tempted to read the ebook referred as he claimed thats how he made an app, that got 100k install!

Its common sense that, adding even a basic admob link into app will transform the 100k installs into a money stream!

Exactly what I was going to recommend (Admob) before reading your message. Your claim seems logical though. If I can create an app with 100k installs I will surely know how to make at least a few hundred dollars out of it.

Most money off apps now comes from in-app purchase content. So add upgrades in your app. Admob is also good as is Millenial Media

Add features and make a paid version. If your app is useful, people will buy it. It's better than using advertisements.
