    Hi everyone!

I'm Hugo, a 20 year old BHW lurker. I've decided to quit b*tching about not making any money and having a bad job. So I quitted my job, and since yesterday I've been sitting at my computer and lurked at BHW as I always do 3-4 times a week.

Yesterday, I've found my niche and built up a Shopify store today. Watched some video guides and read as much as possible about both AliExpress and dropshipping in general.

I think I got a grip of the basics, and will soon launch my site. I've put up almost all of my products of my first shop. As of the lack of a big budget I will start of by sharing posts from my niche-related FB-page to niche-related groups. I'm thinking about getting fake likes to both my page and my posts (Is this a bad idea? In that case, why?)
My posts are ofcourse related to my Shopify website.

As for now, I'm not sure if I got any questions for you. Im a noob, but you've always been helpful to me before so I'll let you know if I need anything!

    I'll keep you guys updated!

    Cheers!

I'd do this on my free time and once you make enough money, quit your job. If you're a newbie with no experience it will be incredibly hard to ever reach the usual salary.

Thank you for your advice, buddy. It was a summer job and became part-time where they called me in. I didn't enjoy it, really. I'm a freelance graphic designer so I still manage to have an income + my family is financially stable. I live at home, don't have any expensive things to pay monthly. Im going for this!

    UPDATE #1

Okay everyone! Although almost nobody wished me good luck, im here with some good news.
    My expenses so far is:

    * Bought domain ($10.99 WHOIS included)
    * Bought Shopify Basic Plan ($29)
    * Fake likes on facebook page + posts (~$5)

Yesterday I mixed alot with my website and added 68 products to it.
Today I launched my site, made a logo and cover photo for my facebook page, found memes for my niche, put fake likes on them to look more legit and funnier.
I also contacted 3 niche related Instagrams asking for shoutouts/collab. No answers yet!
I'm sharing my posts from my page to related groups, getting some likes, not that much though.

    NUMBERS:
    Real page likes: 3
    Fake page likes: 836
    ------
    Costs: $45
    Revenue: $0

I'll keep you guys updated, thanks!

Thank you guys for the good lucks!

    UPDATE #1.1

So I set up some FB ads, 3 adsets and at a $5 budget daily, mostly for testning and maybe a sale! Boosted my post (that I also advertise with) with some likes and shares, only small amounts because it shouldn't look that scetchy.
When these ads had run for about 30 minutes, my mobile website started to get wierd and I couldn't access it. As I advertise to only mobile, this needs to be solved. Talking to Shopify support atm.
    I'll let you guys know.

    Some advice:
    • Don't mess with Facebook Ads. Do native/influencer advertising - cheaper and better.
    • Get Oberlo if you're serious about dropshipping
    • Hit the ground running
    • Actually invest some time and money into it.
I'm also a newbie who started a few days ago and I'm already gettings tons of sales, you can check my thread for more info.

    1. I have my own journey thread. Dig through my posts and you'll find it pretty fast.
    2. It's a Shopify app for dropshipping. If your doing good volume it's great to have, and they have 30 day free trial.
    3. Sure!

    UPDATE #2
Okay so for the last days I've been running Facebook ads and launching the site.
Spended around $15 on ads that actually brought me nothing. Some clicks, no sales.

I've contacted a few Instagram pages that is exactly in my niche, and their followers are really active and engaging.
One is selling a 24h shoutout for $25 (98k followers) and for $250 I get unlimited shoutouts around 7 times a week. (Not sure about this one)

I also put a product that I sell for "free" + $8 shipping which brings me $6 in pure profit.

    I'll let you guys know.

    Thank you!

Read your thread, nice one. If you'd like you can PM me your Skype and we can talk more. Thanks for the tips buddy

Thank you mate, I wish you all luck.

By video ads, what do you mean? You think I should create a video showing of my products?
As I only do dropshipping, I might have to order them to my home. I'll consider it, although I'm going for the free product + shipping and see how that turns out.
    Thanks for the tip!

    Thank you man!

    Cheers! I will, thank you.
