So i got a call today from my affiliate telling me to shut down my websites. She claimed that i couldn't use their "event" name in my url, because it is a registered trademark. I had a
    Code:
    [/URL][URL="http://www.event2011.com/"]wwwdotevent2011dotcom[/URL] [URL="http://www.event2011.com"]
    and
    Code:
    [/URL][URL="http://www.event.org/"]wwwdoteventdotorg[/URL][URL="http://www.event.org"]

I closely read their affiliate program rules and there is nothing about not using their event names in url's or even using in adwords or other ways ...

Even more, a while back they allready contacted me about some mistakes in my sites, and if i could correct them, never they told me that i had to shut them down.

So what would be my best move? She told me that she would talk to management because i told her that i "invested a lot of money" and that i sold allready a lot for them.

Tell them that you are doing everything right as they can see. The trademark domain names are not doing anything negative for them and ask them to use it since its only positive things about the company..

I think they didn't like my sites because i dominate the first page and making "to much" money ... or a competitor just wasn't happy a told them about my sites.

Is there a rule against using trademark names in URL's?

First off: is the trademark real - as in registered at a government IP agency.
    2. If real: what category is it in and in what country is it valid in.
    3. When was it registered.

He would have to agree to sell it to them.

But then they would be afraid that he would stop promoting and use it for some other reason.

I think they might have a harder time getting him to stop using it if they let him use it now!

    That may be why...:)

Ask them for proof before you consider any options

They banned you for another reason my guess would be, just didn't want to tell you why.

Yes, could be true because i have some forbidden "biscuits" on the sites.

But the funny part is that they have 2 events and they only asked me to bring down my sites for "event1" ...
My other "event2 site" they didn't complain about ... so they couldn't have figured out the "biscuits"
