Goal: To get higher rankings and more qualified traffic for a particular money site.

Create and Rank a wp blog for my chosen keywords... once blog is ranked and getting traffic... 301 redirect it to the main money site.

This will directly drive qualified traffic to my money site (instead of trying to accomplish a click through) & it will also increase rankings to the money site for that particular keyword phrase.

Agree or disgree... Would love to hear from those that have actually done a similar plan to this. I don't want to debate theories... If you know something that works please enighten me and I will thank you in advance.

This won't work. People change their themes and their rankings sometimes decrease drastically, so a redirect would be suicide.

    This works.

I recently had a site live for ages about 12 months. I then 301'd it to my prefered new domain which had been live for about 12 months also and it replaced it perfectly.

Where you have the issue is if you 301 to a new domain it won't always sustain rank, it may drop for a little bit.

There is no point in 301'ing a site unless it has back links and has been indexed for a while or you might as well leave it as a mini site with an anchor link.
