    Hey guys.

    I'm 21 year guy musican, Trance DJ/Producer. I launched my own Record Label recently and I've started putting my tracks on Beatport, iTunes, Amazon, Google Store and bunch of others. Also on YouTube, SoundCloud and my Facebook artist page.

    My AIM is getting heard and getting my music out there, but as a beginner with marketing and I don't know how to promote myself much really. That and I don't have any cash for investing for starters cause I'm also unemployed(I got time in my hands).
    Lets say I'm like a slave with a talent. Though whatever I win from the internet I mean to invest it all, literally ALL.

    I've seen you guys around here are very good at building careers, and I feel joy seeing your power, sincerely.
    The help I need is you guys, I need you to give me tips/tricks how to move forward, whatever tip helps with my career I will do it even if it only gives me one more person to listen to my music and follow me, because this is my lifetime dream and this is the only thing I'm not lazy working at and I NEED to make this work.

    In case you're interested to hear what I make here's a song:

    Thanks for your time!
    And know a thing, I repay kindness like a Lannister always pays his debts.

    contact local clubs and offer them to go upstage for free, start being active in fb pages and promote yourself with commenting your own music, open unique accounts and post trough them your music it should do the work, setup a website, if you have a record label then look into soundcloud and look for young talents, help people with the mixing part for free, the whole idea is spread the word.

    Already got a website, and doing that with clubs. (I'm from Macedonia, kinda tough with reaching through clubs here, you start there you stay there, so that's for here only.)
    Good to look for talents, will start with that right away, thanks a lot.

    I am on fiverr, offered Mastering for music. Now I'll offer techno beats why not, I can make them.
    Will create few accounts that I think are useful there.
    Already making more videos, thank you!

    A bit cheesy but sounds great! Also, if that visualizer on top of night fury's pic is actually representing your song, you might want to think about taming your subs a bit. TBH, I've made a few tracks that had visualizers looking like yours. They sounded fine on headphones or even studio monitors but when played on anything that had a proper sub, you'd hear they were a mess.

    Anyway, not really the point here.

    The point is you need to stand out from the crowd in some way.

    First of all, get yourself an account on any relevant social media / web 2.0 site you cna think of / find and fill it with your info and your tracks. Try to build a community out off all these sites and channel them to a single place. It can be either your site (it help if you have a forum there) or a single "main" social media site. (tho in music industry social media > your site imo).

    Bottom line, send all your fans on different sites to one place.

    You should also try building a youtube pressance with more than just your tracks. Try recording how-to videos, compilations / mixes, remixes etc. Use a bit of creativity with this to make something really interesting and unique.

    Also, get involved in other communities. Find forums or places where there's a lot of other DJs / producers doing similar stuff and start networking! Maybe they will like your tracks and play them in your sets. Maybe they will be willing to colaborate on a project with you. Maybe they will even go for your record label. Or maybe they will just give you useful criticism. Who knows but it will definitely help you out.

    Also share other people's work on your social media sites. Maybe they will return the favor.

    Now I'm just writing of the top of my head and it's all a bit generic. You need to take all that generic stuff and do your own twist on this. Make yourself stand out! (in a good way) While I understand your decision to ask for marketing tips here, it all comes down to your creativity. You need to be able to come up with an interesting and unique way to promote yourself and your music. If you can't think of anything that even barely fits in that category then there's no advice in this world that's going to help you succed. (not trying to down you or anything, just saying it like it is)

    But you're already a producer so creativity is your strong side, right? ;)

    Wish you best of luck!

    This is how to do it and I know it works because I have done it before. You need to get your songs featured in videos where the comment section is filled with "Whats the song in this video?" and other similar comments.

    How do you get the video creators to put your song in their video? Submit your music to youtube channels like byebyecopyright and nocopyrightsounds. Video creators are always looking for royalty free songs for their videos and use youtube channels like these to find them. Goodluck.

    @Hinkys
    Wow, thanks for taking your time and writing all that.
    Not a problem, always open for opinions. The soundwaves are representing Night Fury yes but the height and timing are changed with After Effects, so it's not 100% accurate. Tested it on big club speakers, sounded okay, now it's scheduled to be released on 8th of December.
    However, really good tips, already doing few but really helpfull thank you!

    @antonjones
    That is a good tip aswell, gonna do that too, thanks a lot.

    This is going well, keep me busy guys! :p
