Music claim method

it depends what do you mean by claim ? Do you want to be monetized ?
or do you need to have music to you as an artist and claim royalties ?

distokid has some options for youtube as well, check that out, and it should cover all of your issues.
If you are wondering about the length of the video, it matters for diff reason but overall all videos can be monetized on youtube, some more than others (this is where the length of the video comes into play)

How many seconds does the music has to be for the system to detect the claim? And my question still remains can I claim music with shorts? Seems you are missing my question

I am not missing the question, i just have no ideea how many seconds hahaha
you can claim on anything if you get approved for ADS . if you mean a 2-3 min youtube video if its monetizable than yes it can be (less effective than a 9 min or a 14 min video but still monetizable)

The other guy doesnt seem to have any clue what youre talkng about so I'll help you out. I've been using the copyright claim method for a while now and have a lot of knowledge about it. The answer to your question is yes you would be able to copyright claim shorts videos but the issue is because theyre under a minute long you would barely get any revenue from it because the videos are too short so no it's not worth it.

How long does the music have to play for the machine to detect the claim?

can I say music while wearing shorts. You seems to have overlooked my inquiry.

Hmm I see. Thanks for the reply, yea the other guy didn't even know what I was talking about. lol

Anything which contains over 30 seconds of your copyrighted audio will be automatically picked up and claimed. However, while over 30 seconds shorts videos CAN be monetized, you will only be paid for views from traffic sources other than shorts.

I've yet to see ads or pre-rolls on shorts - so I doubt this will work right now.

There's no ad revenue generated off shorts - no one is going to wait for pre-rolls, it's for brand awareness and to build up your engagement & likes.

Youtube is using it to create stickiness within the app. 90% of short content is just reuploaded videos from TikTok - it even shows the branding whitemark.

So in other words, if I claim my music with shorts I will be paid but only from short traffic?

Yea most of the content are tiktok reupload but you can also find content from real content creators too

Yes, you can. But the ads will not show up in the shorts section. It will show up only on desktop and mobile

What do you mean only on desktop and mobile? Do you mean when the video is watched as other type of traffic sources and not shorts?
