What is it worth to have like 4000 backlinks from PR6 site and its subdomains? Im talking about a PR6 site, where people can make their own webpages which then will be created like yourpage point pr6site point whatever .

the one thing i am sure of is that it will get you more than just brownie points. but still google will not put much weight on so many links.

I hate this old question - What is generally considered is that only 1 link from each domain counts.

This goes against everything I see in my competitors link profile. They are authority sites - not blogs, and have hundreds of sitewide links from other authority sites - php & asp sites, again not blogs.

So do your own experiments and make your own observations in your own niche and of your own competitors.

If you have 4000 links from one site, google may interpret that as a link scheme where you cross linked your sites together. You may get banned or get a severe penalty for it.

    +1 for PartyMarty's comment.

Thing with SEO is you can only go from YOUR OWN experience, doesn't matter what other tell you. 50% say sandbox/penaltys are a myth because they have never been in it, 50% say it exists because they have experienced it.

In terms of sitewides - most people say they are no more powerful than a single link from a site (or at most only marginally so). In my experience - sitewides pay massive benefits - IF you also have great domain diversity in your other inbound link profile.

So to summarize, IN MY OPINION:

    1) 1000s of links but only from 1 or 2 sitewide domains - BAD
    2) No sitewides at all - Missing a trick
    3) 1000s of linking domains, some sitewide (meaning 10's or 100's of 1000's of links) - GOOD

It depends, but it will not increase your SERP, better find 100 websites like this and make different links with different keywords and anchor texts.

Don't waste your time on this, it's useless IMO. Just get 1 backlink and go ahead for another authority site.
