What's the cheapest way to get a serious quantity of IPs?

do they need to be on different c-class, or is it fine for them to just be sequential
IP numbers ?

What are the relative benefits and price differences?

it all depends what you are going to use them for.

if your IP's have different c-class numbers and you are using them to host a blog network, then you can interlink the blogs and it looks to google like they are real links from sites owned by other people in other areas of the country/world.

Are you using them for websites or proxies or something else ?

Blogs, so looks like the C Classes would be a big advantage.

I don't think a hosting offering multi class c ip even exists. But you can buy several cheap package from several hosting companies. For example, hostgator, godaddy, etc...

But, if you want the ips more than hosting, there is a thread here selling hostings accounts with several ips. Those package comes with proxys installed. Just search for it

you only need the c-class option of you want to link your blogs together.

go to: www.seohosting.com (its run by hostgator)

Using hostgator is way better than other specialist c-class services simply because the company is so huge that your chance of using an IP that has already been flagged as evil is far less than when using other companies (I learned the hard way).

They sell c-class hosting accounts. They are all cpanel accounts with fantastico, so installing wordpress blogs takes minutes.

Basically, if you want to interlink 5 blogs for every niche you create then get the 5 IP package.

You can safely host blogs on different niches on the same IP. In fact you are probably wasting your money buying a huge number of IPs just to put each blog on a seperate IP, if they are on different niches.

There are threads here to show you how to interlink your blogs for maximum impact and minimum chance of discovery.

Hope this helps

Looks good, but a bit expensive for an experiment. I'm thinking about something like the one mentioned elsewhere on BHW that allows locations all over the world for $20 a month.

bear in mind you can host unlimited domains on each IP and safely have 5 subdomains with each domain name. Even with the 5 c-class package, you can set up hundreds of blogs.

can you find the name of the other host you mentioned, I would like to check them out.

Hostnine

They are a virtual host with servers round the world, allowing you to pick your servers (and hence IP etc.)

IM using seo-host.com, and they are cheap and seem to be pretty good so far....

Nick, do you share your c-class ip's with that host, or are they only used by you ?

seohosting makes you share, so you always run a small risk of getting the IP blacklisted if someone else does something really stupid.

If you are not sure, its worth checking here:

...just to see who your neighbours are ;-)
