    Hello,

Mr. $EO has collected some money from me (200 $) for coding work and SEO work. He did not start (waiting for 1 month after he said today), ignores my messages, only refunded 50 $ and told me few weeks ago he will refund the rest in few days etc. Im tired of this guys.

He is this kind of a coder, who collects your money, tells you "yeah yeah, im free, i have no work, i can do it today for you" and never starts. He was different in the beginning, but now its a huge mess.

I want to warn everyone - dont give him your money.

Same here. He took $200 from me to program something on my website. Spent a month "working" on it. A month later I couldn't get any word from him. Found him on facebook and got him to send me back $80, but he still owes me $120.

I am not certain about it, but it is possible that he just goes around accepting freelance jobs, and take your money and runs.

Has anyone else been scammed by this guy, "Tiffan?"

I had him make me a bot a few months ago. I paid after it was delivered and he even made revisions after I paid. So, I was pretty content with his ethic and the bot was nice as well.

Then I went after another bot a week or two later. After about 3 weeks, it wasn't finished. I figured since he didn't finish it, he was just busy.

I hope this get fixed, as he seemed like a cool guy and a decent bot maker. I'm sorry for those having issues with this.

If you can't get him to refund, It's the best to send him an email saying this - Tell him you will find his previous bhw clients, tell them you scammed me, and get them all to file refund requests at once. That should scare him and may be get him to pay.

He asked me to send him money as a gift. I feel dumb admitting that I sent money that way. You can't dispute a gift so I guess he got sirjockey and me.

He told me he goes to this jesuit school in NYC. I've got him in the school directory. I could send a letter there...anyone think that's worth doing? Also have his home address from a whois search. I could mail his Mother a letter.

    Thanks

Honestly, dispute it anyway and explain his request and what you did. What's the worst that can happen, right? They might see the others and refund yours as well.

I feel sick when I read or hear about these kind of scams. These individual cases are the reason people form wrong prejudices about our community. I sincerily hope that everyone that was scammed by this guy are able to reach at least to a partial solution.

Do you mean to give paypal a phone call and explain? My worry is that they might get upset that I did a "gift" for a contractor.

No, I just mean explain it in the dispute write-up. Just tell them that the seller requested you send it as a gift and at the time you saw no real reason not to, but looking back you now see that the person may have been planning to scam you from the beginning - and that's why they requested it. Tell them that regardless of the category, that you indeed contracted for services and he failed to deliver.

At least, that's what I would do... If you do nothing, it absolutely won't work - if you put it in, it MAY work... some chance is better than none, right? ;)
