Despite being in IM for a while I have never started a journey thread. I have always wanted to - but all my projects are mainly custom bots for custom methods that cannot be shared. But now I finally can start a thread!

About Me: From the UK. First started IM as a teenager dropshipping on ebay without even knowing what IM was -instantly addicted to making money online... Went to uni, got a degree in computing, found BHW about 3 years ago and realized that IM is what I was born to do.

I already make a pretty decent full time income from IM, from a few different revenue streams. It's blackhat income and nearly all of it is not SEO related. While it's very stable for blackhat income - its still blackhat income and I need to diversify further if I want to keep on living the life I do.

I first saw BTB's keyword research thread a few months ago, and knew that huge sites with MASSIVE amounts of content and minimal offsite is the way i wanted to get to stable income that will get past every animal from Google.

So that's the aim - huge site, content heavy, minimal offsite.
No real target for UV's or $/day, just going to build until I feel it's done, but I am expecting it to at least bring in income that is noticeable ($XXXX a month).

I do have a budget for this site and will be outsourcing some of the writing, but will try and do as much of it as I can myself. If i do outsource i will be manually editing the articles and adding in LSI's and other low hanging fruit.

As for link building I don't really have a plan yet - but certainly nothing too heavy. Few 2.0's, few PBN, guest posts, Press releases. Basically stuff that would probably pass manual review. I want the visitors to come from the sheer amount of content - as that seems to make google moist these days.

Before we get started.. This is a journey that is going to Last, there is nothing more embarrassing in my opinion in someone just abandoning their journey thread. This is my job, my business, my livelihood. It's what I do - 6 days a week /10 hours a day. So for better or worse - this journey will go through to the end.

    Steps done so far:
Purchased a domain: aged domain 10+ years, in the niche, only a couple of existing backlinks that are from a couple of related sites, not particularly powerful but better than nothing.

Researched 500+ Keywords for the first "batch" of articles. The link to BTB's keyword research thread is below and that is pretty much what I did. I made a couple of alterations and automated a lot of it - but the principle is the same.
    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...when-building-authority-sites.html?highlight=

Made the site: Wordpress with striking theme heavily customized. W3 Cache installed
Set up g+, tw, and FB pages
Ordered first 30 articles and received some.
Put the first article up on the site.

As most of these journey threads seem to end with a cheesy quote - here's mine.

"Good things may come to those who wait. But only what's left behind by those who hustle..." - Abraham Lincoln

Definitely going to follow and motivate - if the thread goes quiet I'll be hassling you for an update :)

Sounds like you have made a quick start, but those 500 keywords wont last long if you already taken delivery of 30 articles!

ps where abouts in UK are you from?

Psst! Read your comment in my thread in the morning and I have to say that without resources, only the attitude is left. :)

I can relate to what you said. Good luck on your journey mate.

Can you kindly PM me where you got the 30 articles? I've been testing a few providers and is really disappointed with the quality. Thank you!

Spent Friday creating an expired domain scraping tool which i have set loose to scrape some niche related domains for a PBN for when i start linking.

After reading BTB's content writing thread i created articles for all my category pages and removed the no index i had on them.

(Most of this journey is going to be using slightly twisted methods from BTB - let's face it, the guy knows what he is doing when it comes to authority sites!)

I use a few, unless you pay top dollar you are going to need to manually edit them - which is fine for me as i am adding in all the LSI's anyway. I think of them as a template or "filler" almost - and then write more to cover whatever long tails i want to rank for.

I buy 500 and end up with 800-1k words minimum per article - for 10 mins writing / editing.

Spent half of the day tweaking my custom expired domain scraper which is churning out some decent results. (To avoid any more PM's its not for sale sorry).

Only had time to upload 4 more articles - Spent a few hours on making the site look even more polished and awesome. If it ranks as good as it looks i'm going to be a happy man!

Next mini milestone is to get enough content on it to be ready for inspection on Black Friday. I always take advantage of the half price BOTW coupon.

Interesting journey which I'll definitely follow. Always been curious whether or not sheer content volume is still enough for G these days..

5 more articles added to the site today and sorted out the homepage with a simple slide show linking to some good posts for the BOTW review later this month.

Stumbled upon a whole bunch of new awesome low comp keywords while researching an article.

I am considering not ordering any more articles and writing them all myself - as by the time i have finished editing theme they are mainly my own work anyway.

One of the real benefits of building a huge site is that you come across KWs that you can rank with very easily just by doing your "job". You would be surprised how often that happens.

    Nice work, Mr Beast!

I will be one happy man if it does happen often - some real gems cropped up today.

After reading BTB's journey so far, all I can say is that journeys are the best place to learn (except practice, of course). Now I've started following your journey too and so far it looks really promising. I have a question though, are you using a silo structure?
