I have a movie site on page 1 of Google for 2 competitive keywords, and have been making a little over $3k a month.

So, today KR is gone for good, which was my top-ranked movie site. So I thought, OK, I will just re-direct that domain to my other movie site, (which is nowhere to be found in the serps, as yet) that I have on Movieblogpress. So I did that, then found that none of the movie links on my 2nd site go anywhere.

I logged into the control panel for Movieblogpress, and found this:

    "23 Jan 2012 - system update!
Because of copyright issues and the piracy bill, i'm afraid external links/sources will not be shown anymore. After a visitor unlocks the offer if you have it, clicking the play button of the tease player will redirect them to the affiliate link. To add your affiliate link just go to Detailed Configuration => Blog Settings => On Resume Affiliate Link. Or you can use the gateway alternative too."

I guess everybody is now scared to death to have links to anything. There goes 70% of my income. Well, it was sure nice while it lasted. :(

    Hi,

Seems the message has changed. I was using KR and had this as a reserve. Looks like I will have to switch over if they keep it running.

Because of copyright issues and the piracy bill, you have an option not to redirect your visitors to the links/sources. Clicking the play button of the tease player will redirect them to the affiliate link. If blank, it will redirect to the links/sources. To add your affiliate link just go to Detailed Configuration => Blog Settings => On Resume Affiliate Link. Same with the alternative gateway.
