    Hey fellow coders out there.

I have found a little secret that I can "inspect element" a movie site and take an embedded code for a specific movie and place it on my site.

The problem I have is that it disappears after a few days, and a blank screen shows on my movie site.

    Here is an example code:

    Code:
    <embed wmode="transparent" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" src="http://server6.stream2k.com/playerjw/player-licensed56.swf" width="100%" height="320" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="config=http://server6.stream2k.com/playerjw/vConfig56.php?vkey=3ccb35e3da08aebe98f1">
If anyone could figure out why the player shows on my site for a few days and then disappears all of a sudden, I would LOVE you for that. I don't know much about coding, so I am asking here.

    Thanks

Does it still appear on the original site after it stops on yours?

Yes it does. I believe they host it on their servers. Is there a code I can add to always show it on mine?

It shouldn't expire on its own, so I guess they have some kind of custom protection.

Maybe they have a script that is changing the "vkey" to prevent people doing what you are doing. Just iframe the page instead of embedding it.

Okay I checked further into this and I saw that they switch/rotate servers. Does anyone know how I can include this in my code line and make it rotate like a cpa offer?

Some streaming websites use a certain technique to display videos in direct streaming. Thoses videos are dynamically hosted in specific streaming servers but the location of the file rotates to protect their videos from pirates like you (hehe).

So nothing you can do unfortunately

Pirate? ha that sounds so evil.

But there's always a way. Anyone knows how?

Create a script that will parse the target site every day and update the links on your site automatically.

If I could I would. Anyone know where to start. I will pay someone for such a script.

Create a thread on "Hire a freelancer" section and you may get some quotes there.

    That would be doable but:
    - scannning the website everyday for every movie would alert the target website (it's easy to detect) which will either block the ip or block the website from being crawled by unwanted and not identified bots.
    - the script won't be easy to do as you have to dynamically link each page to the target page and change the video link in the database if you use a cms.
    - the more embedded movies you will have, the more it will be easy for the target website to detect if someone is stealing the streaming bandwidth or crawling the links, and violating the copyright.
    - maybe the video link is not crawlable by bots (depends on the actual protection degree of the website)
    - one simple change can make the script useless, or in need for a rewrite.

So it may not be worth the try and the money to invest, just my opinion :)

grrr I knew it would be complicated. Oh well, looks like videoweed and novamov are back, I can always just embed those without worrying...
