I was able to register .com .info .net and .org for a very hot keyword for a product which has just been released. I'm already ranking first with the .com domain but wanted to annihilate my competition with weaker domain names on the other positions.

Should I move my domains to a different hosting before I do this or can I just go ahead and do this on the same hosting provider?

I'm pretty sure you only run into trouble with the same hosts with link farms all giving juice to each other.

So if you don't do that (use your sites to juice each other) you should be fine.
