Looks real. I typed one of my old gmail accounts in, and it gave me the first 2 letters of my password correctly.

3 days back Apple now Google. Still people likes those only. I'm moving to Microsoft products, MSFT fighting against govt in courts for our privacy, and google and apple giving them to hackers. Fcuk them.

I wasn't able to find any official Google statement anywhere.
Besides, I'm sure Google doesn't store plain text passwords, so this is probably a compilation of emails/passwords gathered from other sites. If the passwords were encrypted (which they definitely are on Google servers), it would take many years to decrypt them.

IDK about this, don't you think it could be just a scheme to convince more users to sign-up with their mobile phone numbers?

You can use *** to replace upto 3 characters, so they won't be able to collect the email IDs.
If its not real, they are going to collect a heavy amount of super active email IDs.

meh showed me the first 2 chars of an old pswd from like 2 years ago ...been using 2 step auth for a while now and track any "unusual" activity for my google accounts.

also...this has nothing to do with SEO. :grumble:

Post TXT link then. Nobody is posting anything but shitty zip files and phishing sites.

Post proof with hosted txt file or retract.

Ummm. why would anyone need to collect gmail addresses.

I can pretty much create a list of 10 million emails using a dictionary and common names.

    for example
    mike@
    michael@
    John1@
    john3@
    foodcritic@

etc. all of those are probably taken gmail addresses. You can pretty much put anything thats not gibberish and get a valid email.

    So what am i missing?
