Does anyone know if it is possible to monitor a PDFs page views? I want to be able to send out a pdf file to people and monitor how many of the pages are read, and how long the view times are. I know I can do this with a webpage but was not sure about the PDF.

Thanks for any help

I don't think it's possible at all. But maybe using something like ebookpro could track the pages, because it uses html pages in an exe format plus it's secure and requires people to sign in with their email and password to read the books. :)

Thanks holla.

I also checked to see if I could embed a website in the pdf, but it does not look like you can do that either.

I don't know that it is possible. Your best bet would be to send a link to the pdf somewhere on your website and track the number of clicks.

Aweber has a feature that may give you more detail of how many times and how long people are reading your content, but I don't think it will work for pdf format. I have seen people use shortening links to it from Twitter. Take a look at their homepage.

I know I can click the download of the pdf, but I was more concerned with how the page was viewed after the download.
How many pages were actually read.
How much time was spent reading it, etc.

Thanks for the help though.
