    Greetings

To SEO experts, can you please let me know if you agree with this
[1] if you want to rank for redbook, it is better to have your money page to be: www.domain.com/redbook vs www.domain.com

    agree?

[2] Now, if you agree with the above, what would you do in this scenario, over the last 2 years, my www.domain.com is in the top 10 google search result for keyword: redbook. I created www.domain.com/redbook about few months ago, and have purchased seo packages (PBN, etc.) for it, but it is still not getting ranked. Why is this? is it because my homepage is over riding the new page (www.domain.com/redbook)?

[3] if you are being ranked in top 10 for your homepage, is it a wise strategy to shift to product style page?

    many thanks in advance

homepage is over-riding mate, you won't be able to pass it without making it just as strong as your homepage.

either 301 or make something different with it.

Last thing you need is two pages fighting for the same keyword

If your homepage is already optimized for that keyword, why did you have to create another page targeting the same keyword. Internal pages should target long tails.

thanks for response. can you please explain this "internal pages should target long tails."

I thought google now days cares more about product pages, than home pages.
