I'm not sure if its allowed or not but it sure is sketchy as hell.

Anyone trying to buy friendship or trust is usually worth neither.

You would get a better answer if you asked a member of the staff.

I don't think anyone got any money, if we're talking about the same $30. I saw the thread was deleted before the OP could give it out. The OP had set a deadline to pick a random person in the thread with a random number from random.org or something.

The reason it was removed was because it was a random draw, or a raffle. That's not allowed in the giveaways section. You can set restrictions for your giveaways, but you can't choose someone at random to give it to.

First come first served for those who fit the restrictions set forth in the offer.

So always set your restrictions to:

Jr. Vips Only with at least
    1980 posts
    1600 thanks

and "Fat people with a beard who live in TEXAS and own a dog named Phoebe"
