That is just 0.5% of their happiness time. The rest of the time they suffer because of lack of money which results in lack of food and others that can be solved with money.

If money can't buy happiness, I would rather cry in my Ferrari.

Where can you buy expensive cigars without money? Your argument is invalid.

Money is not the issue, deprivation and poverty is...

When you have seen the poor and famine victims in real life that's when it hits home where the surplus and available wealth should be spent...

OP is right.. money can't buy happiness.. that's why I always tell my children how fortunate they are as I can give everything they want unlike to those children who lives in third world country. I saw this pic from a blog in South Africa and I hope this would inspire you.

This 0.5% of their happiness is well enough for the environment they are suffering in, I did not say that Money can't buy anything, I have said that "There are people in the world who have everything from Pin to private jet but yet they seeking for happiness"

Usually I don't comment on this kind of threads, but here's my opinion.

The overall problem with the third world Countries that needs food and health care is nothing more than LACK OF EDUCATION and CORRUPTION.
These two factors combined leaves the people to misery and starvation.

For those who think that money really buys everything, even happiness... grow up.
Happiness comes in various ways. And if you didn't reach that state of mind in your life yet, you are poors in spirit.

And why can you give everything they want? Because you have money. And are they happy because you can give them anything they want? Yes, and why are they happy? Because you give them everything they want, and how do you do that? With money. See the never ending loop? Money correlates with happiness. Whoever says that money can't buy happiness should just stop visiting this forum, because that's what people here aim for, money.

    Stop with the guilt trip.

There is poverty in Europe too, but the media only like to show Africa in a bad light, like that's all there is in Africa.

Depends on how you define happiness. If happiness is buying expensive cars and houses and traveling via private jets, yeah money can't buy that. There are millions of people who believe that this is what happiness means.

But if happiness is being actually content and happy with what you have, helping others and not worrying about how you only have a 1998 honda while the other guy drives a 500k lambo. Again, there are millions of people who believe THIS is what happiness means.

Whatever you believe, go with that. There have already been many heated debates about the topic. :)

To me, money is a BIG factor and yeah it can solve most if not all of the problems... but it is not the only thing that matters in life.

Its like making a dessert... you can't make it without sugar... nor can you make it if sugar is all you have.
Create a healthy balance between everything.
