Hello BHW,

I've been a lurker for a while but also took action and started my "authority site" a while back. I haven't really focused much on it because I had "analysis paralysis". However, I have done tons of research and I just need to get back on track now.

I was easily distracted... jumping from one idea to another. Well I think I have the budget $2000 - $3000 to start monetizing my site for a passive income.

I have a question. Should I continue my authority site or just make into a micro niche site / review site? I am in urgent need of suggestions so I can take action.

"analysis paralysis" no, it's laziness that prevented you from taking action.

I really wonder, with all the informations shared over and over again on this forum, why you just don't try something without waiting for the approval of someone. If you're waiting for people to give you direction, you're no more than an employee in a company. Taking decision, taking risk, trying by yourself, is what will make you an entrepreneur that start earning passive income;

Just jump man.

I wouldn't say lazy... I tried other methods including email marketing and spent a lot of money.

Should I stick with authority sites?

I'd like to comment on word "passive"

It's so overused and in most cases its an unicorn. When i see people asking for passive, i know they are lazy by nature and that is big problem in IM (everywhere i guess) .
Passive can be classified as:

outsource passive, eg. delegate job to someone else, but give him less than he actually earned with his work
bot passive, eg. programs do stuff
asset passive , eg. you buy entire working business.

Sometimes people imagine making a site and it stays ranked forever on its own (not gonna happen) . You need to fuel it with SEO or artificial traffic.

What i figure, its advantageous to go shady path first, and offer something that is not yours - movie,TV show site.

Due to dynamic nature of IM its not really fertile passive ground. Only smart guys with good ideas and execution, while staying informed and in flow, can have passive income. Even then passive means reduced manual labor, not eliminated.

If you want passive, deposit your money in bank or buy real estate.

Thank you all.

I am willing to work for it. As I'm only 20, I still got time.

I will focus on building an authority site along with an email list.
