Hey, I'm just wondering. I'm streaming (or failing, flailing to stream) a Little League World Series game right now. The top show right now is some stupid wrestling match with over 5k viewers.

Think if you sent 5k people to your site in a few minutes...

I tried (and somewhat succeeded once)...I showed Family Guy episodes all night once, and I had 1k viewers at one point. Sent them all to a Family Guy episodes site (or gave them the option) and made like $12, but then they shut down my stream and (I think) gave me an IP ban. I couldn't login or create new accounts, however I'm unbanned now. But anyway, come on, this must be easy to monetize, amirite?

who banned you - justin TV?
Maybe you could somehow use bhcb oso they have to unlock the justintv feed. or perhaps you could take the stream off but before you do redirect them to your site - where an offer awaits. if youdo this every night and still deliver the episodes maybe people wont be so pissed off at having to complete offers.

    just a thought

Yeah, I think JTV did it, because I was starting streams lasting less than 5 minutes, then making new accounts. I mean, I did that once in a JV with sporting events, just streaming pictures of the sporting event, with a link to the site to access it...then they got BHCB'd. The problem being is you have to show the actual content to get 5k viewers.

And I've got no means of connecting my TV to the PC in order to stream this stuff, but you could put your site name on top of the screen with a program I suppose.

You'll make more money if you deliver the content and it'll be regular cash cos poeple will trust you. I can do this but cant be bothered...maybe i should....

You really want to leave the viewer with no option but to go to your site, otherwise th lazy bastards will just watch for free.

Good idea, Could outsource someone to make justin.tv accounts then change ip on each login and stream loads of different TV shows on different accounts would be very boring but could get someone to make a bot on GAF.

Hmm...interesting. Sounds like this wasn't meant to be. Nice that we had a little discussion about it.

Theirs massive potential for monetizing Justin, especially when a big sporting event is debut. It's a shame I haven't had the time to try.

I'm on justin.tv alot and most people aren't as apt too click links there are too many teenage douche bags who post links too gay porn and stuff stupid things. Also If your streaming like what your talking about all it takes is your competition/haters/self-righteous copyright lovers too report your channel and you get shut down.

I've pretty much given up on trying too do anything but watch stuff on justin.tv
