The other day I was thinking about all of the brands/blogs that use giveaways to create a temporary "buzz" around their content because they are giving away something of value to a random participant in exchange for their email, subscription ect.

How could one monetize a site that is SOLELY based on giveaways? it does not have a ton of articles ect, but just a site based on giveaways. So whenever a giveaway comes out, it would get a flock of temporary traffic

I had an idea that users would have to download a ticket generator from a PPD network that would tie their email to one ticket number that would serve as their entry into the giveaway. My concern with this is that people would think it's too difficult to get an entry resulting in barely any. There is also the legit side to it, where as downloading a file does not seem like something a "real" brand would have people do. Looking to juggle some ideas with you guys and Thank as always BHW

edit: i didn't read the whole thing. Something like a PPD would be nice. Just need a way to legitimize your site so people will actually give it a try. Not sure how, wish you best of luck

Are you giving away your products, etc or those of others? You could charge product owners a small fee to publicize their giveaway but I think you'd need a large amount of traffic/subscribers already to justify that. Or, you could giveaway a "free" version of the product via affiliate link and then get commissions if they upgrade. Appgratis does something similar to this.

These would not be my products. And I did read about "sponsored giveaways" where companies approach websites and pay them to run their giveaways, but like you said that would need to be a well established web site already, something for me to look in the long run, but right now most likely not. I like your idea of giving away a free version of a product but not sure if it fits into what I'd be specifically doing. I will read into it, cheers for the idea.

Still interested in what others have to say thank you

The PPD ticket download idea is pretty neat. Very creative. I'd give it a shot.

A content locker with incentive cpa offers. Just lock a page where people register or sth and you just choose the winner. Not really that hard to code sth like that. If you want sth like that and want to hire someone, please PM me :)

I would definitely try PPD/CPA as those would probably be profitable in even this niche.
