Suppose you had a hobby forum about wargaming (yeah, toy soldiers...) that received around 70,000 uniques a month (mostly 14-15 year olds...).

    How would you monetize it?

What could I do? The site is barely making more than its server costs. I'd been a labour of love in recent years but it's beginning to feel like an unpaid job.

If anyone has any money making ideas beside adsense and selliing it I'm all ears :D

Make a donations button and say the server costs $200 to keep the site online... they donate and have to meet that total everymonth

make an amazon and ebay shop area for related products

    Add some relating CPA offers

    Try and sell ad space

Put clickbank related product banners on it

Probably most of them are using family computers. Parents are using it also for online shopping. Start stuffing!

Hi does anyone have any further ideas?

The site now gets around 150,000 uniques per month... Is there a way to monetize this without risking the wrath of google?

Anyone want to help me make money off this for a 50/50 split?

That is a good amount of traffic, the users will be mostly interested in things to help them practice and improve in their hobby so adding amazon products (affiliate links) would be a good choice. Try displaying post inline links and banners.

Hey buddy, I personally would suggest you try BuySellAds.
You can sell adspace based on monthly rates or CPM builds.

    OR

Try the donation idea as was given before.

    Or

Open a new forum for buying/selling with a listing fee of 5 dollars.

Honestly, I wish I could help you but I think I would personally attempt to incorporate all three of these.
