I know it's not a lot, but I have a website running and that never touch and I've been getting around 500 uniques per month. The most it's ever gotten was 1500. Out of those 500 uniques per month I usually get about 1500 page views.

I don't currently have any type of monetization at all on the site. I do have an adsense account which I use for Youtube, but I don't really feel comfortable using it incase I get banned by some type of click bomber or something. Also I suppose adsense wouldn't pay that much for 500 uniques per month.

Do you guys have any suggestions on how to monetize rather than using adsense? I don't even know what to call my site as a niche :| It's more of a site where you can listen to police scanners, etc.

Is your traffic event driven? I.e. something happens, and everyone rushes to listen to the police chit-chat?
If so, then targeted donations are the best way.

Google actually may more than you think, depending on your niche CPC. Head over to google adword keyword research and check cpc for your niche.

Maybe some clickbank offer would suit you well? You should try to experiment adsense, clickbank, pdd and others.

I think adsense is the best for now. But all depends on your visitors and your niche. Make some money, get more sites, and move forward :)

Build a list, and use that list to make it bigger by hosting some sort of giveaway that asks people to promote your site.
Then with that list, make money.

if you want to leave it alone for passive income go with chitika or bidvertiser (be warned the latter has some shady ass ads and cookie stuffing) they both pay well and on time.
