Like a lot of people, I have a personal website such as firstlastnameDOTcom. I haven't touched it in a year or so, however I started off in 2013 getting around 700 users & 1000 PV's a month. In the build up to a certain product release later in the year, I put up one single post which showed the time of a presentation around the world. That month I hit 3000 users and 7000 PV's.

In the same month, a competing product was also going through a release, however I was on holiday at the time, but what I did instead was started to compile links to resources online which would help developers and designers with this new product.

For the next few months, I just kept adding resources to the site, providing a post with a short description about the resource, an image, and then either a link to the source site, or a link to the direct download.

Since then (1 year ago) I've been getting a consistent 1000 users and 2000 PV's a month, without me doing anything. I'm now considering launching this back up to increase the traffic - perhaps removing it from my personal account, and creating a site dedicated to the niche.

I guess my question here is if it's possible to monetise this traffic in anyway. My adsense got banned years ago thanks to clickspam from somewhere.

The resources are pooled from free communities online, and the audience is fairly savvy given most of them are designers or developers, so I don't think many of them are going to be filling out surveys etc to get the links to the downloads.

If anyone has any suggestions or if it is possible to monetise this in anyway due to the audience, that would be appreciated.

You could sell links/publish articles/sell advertising for quick cash, what niche is it?

Without going into too much detail, it the mobile world - you can probably take an educated guess.
I was under the impression Google penalised you if sold links and articles?
