Hey,

Was just wondering, how are you guys seeing the difference in mobile vs desktop sales.

I am asking since I get around 50% more traffic from mobile devices (using bing) compared to desktop. The add to cart is roughly the same mobile vs desktop, BUT only 10% of sales are from mobile.

The product owner gave the regular stats - sales from desktop and computers are very similar in the 40 - 50% range from each, tablets being 10% or so.

I am testing different ads to see mobile only vs desktop only to get the exact data.
Question is if bing traffic just converts much better on computer, or I need to put more effort into changing the mobile landing page. My target audience is 30+, females converting a bit better than men. Niche is health.

Any input and experience is highly appreciated!

Could be a few different reasons. My guess is since Bing has an older demographic, and those older folks are more comfortable buying on desktop. Also it could be that a portion of your traffic is moving to desktop or another device to complete their purchase - and I don't think clickbank has cross-platform tracking.

To combat that, you might want to break your campaign out by desktop and mobile and make bid adjustments there, if Bing allows it. Also check out the search term report to see if mobile is giving you any bad search terms that you might want to take out with negatives.

My main clientele is in an East Asian country. As most of you might know, mobile is king over here. I think something like 80% is mobile sales.

This. I think you should optimize your mobile checkout experience. If possible use hotjar like heatmaps to see where and why they are falling off.

Thanks for the input! Unfortunately as the checkout is clickbanks I can't change it and I am pretty sure that they have it optimized for mobile users as well.

So far the plausible answer seems to be that the audience from bing is just older and are more comfortable making purchases on their desktops.

I mean unless it converts I wouldnt care about if they uy it from mobile or desktop
maybe they just feel more comfortable to buy on PC
or maybe there are not so many options to view images properly so they have to see it in a bigger size on a PC
