    Hey everybody ...

I'm not new to BHW. I'm old! I've been reading and posting here intermittently for about 3 and a half years. I've taken some action here and there before but never saw life-changing results. This is my first journey.

Why a journey? Why now? Because I'm going to have to get a job in November, if I don't make something sustainable happen. I'm out of excuses. Enough is enough. It's put up or shut up. It's show time.

Who am I? What am I doing on BHW? Basically I'm a content writer with ample resources to make a meager living online. I can already do it. But I've been self-delusional about money and time management. I've been super-lazy. I've been too easily discouraged. Of course, I would love to earn residual or so-called "passive" income to replace being chained to a computer 24/7, writing, writing, writing. At the moment, I only get about $10 per month residual income from about 100 articles I slapped on a Web 2.0 site. So I'm giving IM one last try before getting a 'real' 9-5 job ... in a cubicle ... which I'd like to avoid.

OK, then. My journey will consist of methods that get me to the goal of $1,500 per month. Then I will scale it up. I haven't chosen a particular method yet, though. I'm pretty open to suggestions. I've been thinking maybe YouTube + PPD or CPA? Or Amazon affiliate sales? Or Kindle book sales? Or a combination of the three. I can't do eBay at the moment; I already screwed that up.

    Here's my plan of action:

    1. Write like a bitch for freelance clients on DMS, Textbroker, Fiverr, etc. to take care of basic expenses plus seed money. Grind articles. Suck it up. Just do it.(TOTAL from article writing: $50-$100 per day)

    2. Take some of the money I make and invest it into one of the above-mentioned methods. Or some other methods. Again, I'm open to ideas.

    3. Post my progress here and reveal everything I learn along the way to share with the BHW community and keep myself accountable.

It's not a sexy journey; it sounds boring ... but this is where I am currently at. Sorry it's vague. I know a lot about writing, blogging, on-page SEO, white hat SEO and Wordpress. I know practically zero about black hat, bots and uber-technical stuff. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Disclaimer: I am an American female, BTW, and not a 15-year-old boy from Serbia like everyone else ? not that there's anything wrong with that! ;)

Good Luck!! Don't let it fizzle! Master keyword research and gauging competition and throw up some articles on article base or press releases and SEO those. That way at the same time you're earning from your writing you can also earn from your articles. Don't get lazy!!! I always use the motivation of not having a real job, plus the fact I enjoy doing IM, that helps.

OK, so yesterday I made a total of $100 writing for clients. Today it was $75, but I also posted 6 articles to Web 2.0 sites and did $10 worth of tasks on a microworkers site.

I still don't have a method (or methods) yet for monthly residual income, but I am going to spend the rest of tonight reading BHW and hopefully I'll decide on something to try. I'd like to get an AdSense check in this lifetime. Ditto Amazon Associates. Whatever the method is, it will probably be writer-friendly. I'm sick of writing but have to match the method with my skills. :)

Thanks for the caveat! I'll put up an ugly or fat avatar. That should avert any problems. ::lol::

Good luck on your journey. You can achieve your $1,500/month target as long as you set your mind and heart to it. You're getting there, just don't give up.

Well, all day today my internet was cutting in and out. My broadband modem (my second one in 4 years!) is already on its last legs. So I didn't make much money, per se, but I did spend all day writing. I also researched some methods and I'm much closer to picking one or two. I think I'm going to go with a combination of Fiverr outsourcing and article leveraging/arbitrage.

I had a blog about 3 years ago which had 100+ articles on it. All the articles are considered unique now because they were de-indexed. So I'm spiffing those up, updating them where necessary. I'm planning to submit them to a variety of upfront pay and performance pay sites. I will report those results.

Here is an old method I am seriously considering revamping, thanks to advice from Zebrahat:

I made $53.10 yesterday writing for clients. That included an offer from Yahoo/AC, so I think I'm figuring out what they're looking for. If you're a writer submitting for upfront payment, I would suggest something topical (think Google Trends or seasonal holidays), totally unique (not spun and make sure the title isn't in search results) and they seem to like the travel category. Just an observation.

I am setting up a bunch of Fiverr and YA accounts, using US-based proxies, just in case I need them later for a method -- or to sell.

In addition to revamping Zebrahat's method (see link above), I am also considering the Meatball method (see link below) -- so I'm reading all 40-50 pages of this thread:

I made only $5 yesterday because I was watching college football and the ALCS. But I'm going to work all day today and hopefully make $100+. The good news is, I finally have a method! It's my own hybrid of a couple of different ideas I've been reading about. I've thought of it before, but only in a limited scope. This time, I'm thinking BIG! With a number of different twists.

Basically I have a target audience in mind and will position myself to earn from that specific group. I know very little about traffic, etc. but I know that these people buy stuff and I can get their attention. I won't reveal the niche, but I will report every technique/tactic/tool I use. (Hint: the niche has to do with TV shows.)

So just a couple days after starting this journey, my internet went out -- completely. I had already been having problems with it cutting in and out. I'd gone through 2 modems in 4 years; this is now my 3rd modem in 4 years. Not only did my modem have to be replaced, but also the ethernet cable and some other wiring. Anyway, I'm back in business and planning to work like a slave ... today, tomorrow and through the weekend! :)
