Hi Guys, just a bit of a rant, I have been taken for by two digital MLM companies. When I first started Internet marketing I didn't know that the MLM model had made its way on the internet. I heard read about the big ones and their shenanigans like Amway, Herbalife and Mary Kay amongst others. But I had no idea about Empower network, MOBE, Six figure mentors and their likes. Anyway after being taken for a couple hundred dollars from both MOBE and Six figure mentors (not at the same time) and then realising I had to pay a further couple thousand grand to have the privilege to promote them I didn't take my venture any further. it was later I realised they have a MLM business model and that the internet is full of them. I came across a book by Dr JonM.Taylor 'Multi-Level Marketing Unmasked' it is a thorough dismantling of the MLM industry. One figure that kind of baffles me, is their success rate is less than 1%, he analysed over 600 MLM companies and concluded majority don't make anything and usually lose money whilst less than one percent make the big dollars. How is this business model still allowed to thrive?
