Well it happened, after so many bots they decided to put an end to it by becoming a private sharing bookmark account, of course with a fee.

You can see the details here:

    http://www.mister-wong.com/payments/upgrade/

Hope that other bookmarks site don´t follow this line. And I think that why I would join and pay to save my bookmarks??? Other services are free. I understand about the bots, but I don´t think this will increase their fees, maybe they are trying to make a service for us with the paid version? Instead of making a service for the general public? What do you think?

Now backlinks from Mister Wong also bring something.

The Spammers don´t pay this. I think this is a good choice.

No, they will check your account and if you are doing like normal bookmarking stuff for micro niche sites, you have to upgrade your account. they closed my account temporary after sending them a request to check .

It´s actually bad for us because everytime when money counts it gives an advantage to money over skill. So less skilled people easily take the fee and if they are getting good results for that there is no much space for skill/knowledge.

Otherwise: WTF cares about Mister Wong?

look what they wrote to google on their site :

    Dear Google-team,

we know that linkpolitics of websites with user generated content like Mister Wong are important to you, so we would like to act completely compliant to your policies and guidelines. Therefore all our user accounts and external links are set to "nofollow" for the time being.

Nevertheless, long-time users whose content and links have been proven to be trustworthy and of high quality for a constant period of time will receive "trusted" status and their links will be set to "follow". Through this Mister Wong is able to contribute to Google's search of quality websites.

For this reason there can still some follow links be found in Mister Wong's directory; they belong to the accounts of our trusted users.

This procedure comes to pass in accordance with your guidelines as noted here http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hlrm=en&answer=96569, mentioning the following: "If you want to recognize and reward trustworthy contributors, you could decide to automatically or manually remove the nofollow attribute on links posted by members or users who have consistently made high-quality contributions over time."

Should we have set an account to "follow" of which you think that this is not justified, please send us a message via our contact form. We will verify the authenticity of the message with the help of your IP address.

    Thank you
