NOTE!! I should have put "& Make Money" In the Title. That's what this is really about. So remember that as you read and the thread grows. The only reason I want to be popular is to make money! I never did get addicted to Farmville. I did try it for a while, but it just didn't really click with me the way it did with the rest of the Facebook world. I do like Cityville; I play it a lot just for fun. When I originally started with Cityville, I found that NOBODY was playing it and I had to go looking for friends (neighbors in CV) just so that I could play more. I found most of them on the hundreds of "add me" groups that had sprung up soon after the game started to become popular. It's genius really, the way these games work. Basically, with all of these FB games, if you don't have plenty of friends playing the game with you, you simply can't move forward because you can't get enough energy, items, etc. As far as marketing, I missed out on the whole "farmville" craze. Apparently there were plenty of people making plenty of money with their fan pages, "add me" groups and so fourth. It appears that I have missed Cityville bandwagon as well because that game has developed into quite a big deal on Facebook and even though "I was there when it started", not only did I not take advantage of it from a marketing perspective, there were actually already plenty of people who were trying to. (Where are they now, I wonder?) ANYWAY, THIS TIME IT WILL BE DIFFERENT! There are a number of new games that come out constantly and I think that I have spotted the next "big thing" as far as Facebook games go. As a gamer, I can tell what is good and what will catch on whether it's for Xbox, PC or... Facebook. I KNOW A GOOD GAME and I am hooked on this one. This, and Cityville are the ONLY games attached to my profile because I hate the spam, time wasting and so-fourth, but again... this one is good. As a marketer, I am very interested in the potential that this game holds, so I am going to try to take this one single game and not only have fun playing it, but make money with it. If you all would like, you can follow me as I attempt to monotize it at most and become super popular within the game itself at least. I would love for you Farm & City Ville veterans to help me along the way. Anyway that's it for now. I am working on my first "stage" and will report back in the next few hours as to "how it's going".
