    Hi

can someone please explain to me why those "minions" gigs of Dispicable Me still exist on Fiverr? It's clearly a copyright infringement they sell. I can imagine buyers will mostly use it to promote their business on social media etc but still....

Now Amazon's legal team has tracked down all Fiverr sellers who deliver Fake Amazon Reviews it's only a matter of time that Universal, Fox etc will do the same with these kind of gigs in my opinion. I'm still amazed that after all these years these gigs still exist, some have a lot of sales as well.

    What do you guys think?

yup. it must not be there.
and this us really a copyright infringement.
i will ask FIVERR team about why they did not remove those gigs.
maybe those gig owners are the Top Rated Sellers, thats why :) :p LOL

    Hello,

Yes, they still exist because they sell: Fiverr is here to make money, not to make a party, so they want money.

    That's simple.

Even gigs which sell things like "100 WSO for 5 dollars" still exist and there, it's clearly a steal. But Fiverr let them quiet.

And I think that Universal and Cie have other things to do, too (like torrents, for example)

To get those gigs down, you would need the copyright holder to fill a DMCA request. Which is quite easy I must admit.
The main difference between that & the amazon review case, is that in Amazon case, there was bad PR involved. The fact that the product reviews on THEIR site was flawed is a big problem for the final consumer.
In the minion case, there is not that much harm involved in my opinion. But this will be taken down at some point.

but I mean.... if you put someone's logo into an edited Minion video and they decide to use it in their marketing campaign and all the sudden the movie appears everywhere so it catches a lot of attention you can be in deep trouble.

Big brand wouldn't take the risk to use copyrighted material in their campaigns. And I really doubt any ad agency comes & shop on fiverr for their ressources.

They won't take these daft minion gigs down for the reason that its free advertising for the brand.
