I'm curious about the Minecraft Marketplace and it's money making potential. Just looking at it from the outside, I see packages of DLC where creators just copy Among Us skins selling in the thousands of copies. There's a crazy amount of money being made through lazy content bordering on copyright infringement all on a certified Microsoft marketplace.

If anyone here has worked in or understands this space better, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it and how it functions.

I have no idea about skins and things but I spent many years in the minecraft community with servers and other things. Minecraft can be very lucrative but it is very difficult and you need to know a lot or have a good team. Surprisingly it also takes a decent investment to get started in the server community.

I'm new here, but the Minecraft Marketplace has money-making potential. Here are some thoughts on it: Create original content to stand out. Focus on quality and innovation. Marketing and community engagement are crucial. Stay updated with marketplace trends. Observe what's popular and unique. Copyright concerns need attention. Learn from successful creators. Regular updates can boost sales. It's a competitive space, but with effort, you can find success.

Can you eli5 me how the marketplace work and what you can buy there?
Just plain Character Skins which you can use everywhere (Classic + Modded Games) or can you sell pre built schemes?

Found it by myself:

You must be very good at marketing on youtube or tiktok to do this. for example if you already have minecraft audience you can redirect to store.

I have no idea about skins but I can definitely tell you that there is a HUGE market for OG usernames 3-4 letters / characters names
