Any of you have an account with MGID or Ads keeper targeting US?

If so what is your average CPC as I think our account manager rigged our account increased the CPC we have to pay. Because I looked in the URL parameters of the other advertisers where the CPC is passed and they were paying half the price we were on same sites. Yet, our ads never show if we set our price to that.

That’s a bit of a tricky situation, but it could be due to a few factors. First, MGID and AdKeeper, like many ad networks, use a bidding system, so CPC can vary depending on competition, targeting, and even your account's history. If you're targeting the US, keep in mind that certain regions or niches might have higher competition, which can drive up the CPC. It’s also possible that your account manager adjusted your bids based on your targeting settings or campaign goals.

To check if you're being overcharged, try adjusting your bid to match the lower CPC you noticed in the other ads and see if your impressions or clicks improve. You can also reach out to the account manager and ask for more transparency regarding how your bids are being set, sometimes there might be specific strategies they're using that you’re unaware of. If the CPC seems way out of line and you're not seeing results, it might be worth revisiting your ad setup or even testing with other networks!

Yes, also keep in mind some companies have traffic share in deals too. That the account managers do not even have access too. Only the higher ups might exclusively sale these deals to companies that decide to buy a guaranteed amount of clicks and/or impressions per month for much cheaper.

They have a system to lower your CPC, if you were given a discount or bonus it will be deducted from your spend later. I mean, you bid 1 usd but in auction your real bid is 0.95, or whatever (might be any percent )

Yeah, that happens sometimes with MGID and AdsKeeper, especially if your account is flagged as “managed” or new.
For US traffic, average CPC can range from $0.20 to $0.50 depending on niche, but if you’re seeing double that, your AM might be pushing minimum bids up. Try testing a new self-serve account to compare — sometimes it’s way cheaper.
