There is a site I'm working on which has millions of pages. Each page is dedicated to one long tail keyword phrase. My objective is to get visitors from many long tail keywords.

Can you share your methods to rank a lot of long tail keywords?

Build quality links to your website like 40% to homepage, 60% to most important inner pages. Thats it.

You can use parasite site method to rank many long tail keywords at Google.

    e.g: Youtube, Pinterest, Facebook, etc.

    Then add backlinks toward them.

So you have millions of longtail keywords to link to.
Your best bet would be start start finding millions of domain names that you can post to.

You can also try linking 3 longtail keywords from 1 blog post, cutting your target down to only hundreds of thousands.

I think you should start scraping, looking for reliable sellers in the marketplace here in BHW, going to Fiverr and trying to get as many links as possible.

If they are low level having a landing page for each one auto-generated with minor SEO to it may be fine without further work. But getting all those pages built with good content is not cheap.

^This would be my advice. I guess it's pretty safe to assume that not all of your million pages are related, internally linking related and relevant pages then adding links from there would be the way I'd go.

One simple but important question: are you using your own content or PLR content? Many people try to rank PLR articles (original or spun) and it's almost impossible. If you're using PLR articles, I recommend rewrite some initial paragraphes from each one!

The number one way to rank for all that juicy long tail starts with your content. Good long tail SEO means great content on your site: lots of it and good detail on it all.

Silo structure. Backlinks to the homepage with all LSI and backlinks to each page with its LSIs. Of course must have some generic anchors too.

Personally, I think any site that solely targets a long tail keyword (example: Hand Made Yellow Widgets ) would be what Google terms a thin site. And with the way Panda is rolling out, it'll eventually get hit. If not by Panda, then something else.

It is best to create either or use established site with subpages. Using my example, your site/domain should be about widgets or hand made widgets and NOT just hand made yellow widgets.

The only way I can see that this idea might work is if the content was all related in some way. Otherwise you would be competing with the likes of Wiki or WebMD (depending on your niche) and very few people can actually do that.
