A client wants me to find long-tail keywords in non-English speaking markets. Any good ways or tools to do this?

With Ahrefs it's quite easy:

Search for some broader keywords within the client's market. Then use the keyword ideas section:

From there use the word count filter to get long-tail keywords. For example, if the broader keyword is a two word phrase, set the filter to minimum of 4 or 5 words.

It should have no differences compare with the "english" market, you either use a tool like ahref or pure Google keyword planner, and input your seed keywords, and compile a big list...

I mean, I only know English, Is there a tool that translates my input English keywords to other selected languages automatically? Or I have to translate the keywords from English to other languages and then put them in keyword tools?

If you check what the client and its competitors rank for, the higher market terms should pop up. Use those a starting point for what I wrote before.

After that you can just export those keywords with metrics to Google sheets and use the googletranslate function to translate them. Then just look at what you have.

Pretty much same as you'd do it on english.

If the language is your main concern, start with any translator of your choice for the basics: red jacket, red car, lawyer, dentist, green apples. From there simply search those translated words in google and see the results what your competitors are doing or even local forums talking about it, then you'll have plenty of common sentences and expression in the local language to start your real job same way as you'd in common english.

You don’t need a translator at the beginning of the research only your intuition.

Find your client’s competitor with good SERP traffic using audit tools like SEMrush / Ahrefs .

I prefer using SEMrush for non English/ LT keyword research.

insert the competitor URL into SEMrush domain bar , Goto advance filter - Since the major purpose of this research is to find long tail keywords relating to a niche .

Select “Words - Number of words” > Greater than 3. That way you have list of keywords with minimum of 4 phrase.

Rinse and repeat for 2-3 more competitors.

Copy and compile - Have them in a translator , I prefer working with yandex . Manually check to make the LT keywords are closely related to what you want. ( QC check). You’re done!

Alternatively, if you have seed keywords for your targets , Use the Keyword magic tool from SEMrush .

insert your seed(primary) keywords into provided bar, Select “Phrase match” and that would also fetch your LT keywords for your target seed.
