CLICK HERE FOR AN EASIER TO READ VERSION! $100/day Online/Offline Hybrid Whitehat Method! Difficulty |||||||||| By JasonZ10 This method is VERY simple and easy to pick up and prepare, but up-scaling and managing may be tough. Everything is completely white hat and done both online and offline. If you're having trouble with IM and you don't at least attempt this method, then you're clearly not motivated enough to start your own business, just because of its simplicity. I guarantee it'll be worth your time to do. This methods 90% original. I read about a pawn shop owner who'd buy CD's off people for $0.50 each and sell them for ~$10 and make good money doing that, so I added an IM side onto it. I digress, onto the method.. Preparation First off, go to all of the classifieds sites for your area, and go to the "Wanted" area and make a post something like this: Even go to your local corner store/wherever there's a bulletin board, and make a few posters with your email or phone number on it saying roughly the same thing. Get the word out about how you're buying people's old CD's, convince them that they don't want them anyway, and haven't even touched them since the day of walkmen. You will be able to get lots for only $0.50. Hopefully you get lots of people inquiring. Get a list of their CD's then get ready to do some research. Let's say someone told you they have the 2Pac's Greatest Hits album. Go to the Amazon page of it, and look at the "used price" of it. You can see it's roughly $14. Now offer this person ~$1 for it. You can be generous and offer them up to $5, since you'll still be making a profit, but it really depends how good you are at convincing them of the value and how smart they are. If you see someone's got an underground/old school hip-hop CD, you've basically hit the jackpot. Here's an album I really like, and would love to get in CD form (I'm an audiophile), but as you can see, used is $40! You can make $35 off that one CD easily if you're buying it from the right person. (By right person, I mean someone with little common sense.) Making Money There's a few ways you can go about making money with this method. First of all, you can rip all of the CD's in their lossless form, and put them up on a PPD site, and then find a way to get it out there. That's just if you want to earn a bit on the side with this method. The real thing you're going to be doing is selling them on eBay and Amazon. eBay is better if you want to get rid of them quick or need money fast for whatever reason (I see lots of threads of people asking how to make $xxx to pay the bills). I'd recommend Amazon all the time, since you can sell it for more, have less competition, and less fees, although it may take a while. If you undercut all of the other people selling it used by quite a bit, you can get it sold within a week or two. Going back to the 2Pac example, you could sell that CD for $13.99 (The next lowest was just over $14. As long as your dollar unit is lower, they'll buy yours 90% of the time). Buy a pack of padded envelopes to ship with (They basically cost $0.14 each, add an extra $0.50 onto the shipping fee to cover this) Now go out there and try this method. It's insanely easy, just keep track of all of your transactions and don't overpay for any of the CD's unless you want to keep it yourself. Don't leak this method, I want everyone to get a fair chance to try this out. If you find yourself tempted to reply to this thread saying something like "Oh, this method doesn't work anymore! Who buys CD's?!", you're just trying to justify your laziness to yourself. Don't be lazy, I've given you a method that has the possibility of earning tons if you can find a good way to buy CD's in large amounts for a low price. It doesn't even matter what the CD is most of the time, someone is out there looking for the greatest pop hits of 1995.
