I'd like to make a contribution to the forum so here's a quick and easy technique to get a very brief overview of your link building efforts from Google's viewpoint. It is by no means thorough but is a way of quickly and easily identifying if you have been spamming your site too much or not diversifying your anchor text sufficiently. Code: http://www.opensiteexplorer.org 1. Go to OpenSiteExplorer and enter your site. Click Search. 2. Once the search is complete choose 'followed +301' in the first drop down box. 3. Choose 'only external' from the second. 4. Choose 'pages on this root domain' from the third. Click Filter. You will see a brief overview of your indexed links with anchor text. Check through all the anchor text and make sure there is a good diversity of keywords and generic anchor text as a natural linking profile would have. If you see the same anchor text for the majority of your anchors, it's time to make some changes. Just a simple tutorial but I hope some people find it useful. Please feel free to click thank you or add to my rep if you did. Happy New Year to all at BHW!
