Gas fee is so expensive because it is ETH. You would need to use a NFT based on SOL/MATIC or other crypto instead of ETH.

The problem is that the vast majority of popular NFTs use ETH. You can check this as in the image below in OpenSea.

Yeaah I figured that and I used a website which gave me free polygon just so I can mint matic based NFT projects ! but the issue as you did state before, projects based on matic are really rare, I would be happy to share with you guys the website that game me free amount of matic/polygon but I don't know if I'm allowed to share links in here !
 
Use Gamestop's nft marketplace for lower gas fees. They use layer 2 of eth to eliminate the fees.
